About

Jill is a Belfast-born, London-raised photographer with a background in business and marketing, delivering best-in-class communications and digital experiences for leading brands such as John Lewis, EE, Virgin Media and B&Q. She brings a very particular blend to her work - a marketer’s understanding of how brands connect with people, paired with a photographer’s instinct for how things should look and feel. It means she approaches image-making with both the strategic clarity of someone who’s worked inside major organisations and the creative curiosity of someone who sees stories everywhere.

Her lifelong love of fashion led Jill to naturally move away from her original street photography and steer towards fashion and beauty but combining the two is fast becoming a passion. Less drawn to studio work, she prefers to shoot on location, using the streets and natural environment as backdrops that add depth and authenticity to her images. The city often provides the perfect backdrop. She’s obsessed with the people and places that make London the greatest city in the world - the unpolished, the untamed, the stories unfolding on every street corner, waiting to be told through her lens.

A gregarious Irish, Jill’s ability to talk to a stranger like she’s known them her whole life and put people at ease makes for capturing authentic, atmospheric, and raw images. Of course, being Irish, she can’t resist the occasional hint of humour or quirky coincidence, adding character and charm to her work.

Jill works across both brand and creative spheres, and her photography naturally informs her marketing practice just as much as her marketing background deepens her visual work. She’s interested in that overlap - where strategy meets storytelling, where commercial thinking meets instinct, and where ideas become images.
